Sh*t happens. And it seems to happen for no reason. Many times, we have no control over the c’est la vie moments in life; life is full of unpredictabilities.
There are accidents, weather incidents, red wine spilled on white pants (ugggghhh), and a whole host of other oopsies.
We may not be able to predict or stop crap from happening, however, what we can do is have command of how we respond to them.
Cool. Calm. Collected. I know, I know, easier said than done. But when you practice telling yourself, “it is what it is,” perhaps you’ll come to appreciate life’s little hiccups and not sweat the small stuff. Or the big stuff.

One of my favourite sayings – it reminds me that life isn’t perfect and to get over myself!

You are so right, Leanne. While it’s a nice thought, I don’t try to live in perfection. I take the bumps and bruises along with the soft cushions, puppies and fairytales! For everything, it is what it is. Thanks for kicking off the conversation.

It helps me end the stress over “the small stuff,” and just let it go.
Valerie Albarda says
That’s right, Camille. If we worry about the small things, we’ll certainly flip out over the bigger things. Let it go and chalk it up to life.

Isn’t that the truth?! One of my favorites – along the very same lines – God didn’t promise you a problem-free life. Nice post, Pam

Thanks Pamela…and what a sage saying; no, He didn’t promise us that! 😀
