How can I expect others to respect me if I don’t respect myself?
I know I have value and worth, and I never question that. I refuse to be treated as if I don’t matter. I can quietly challenge the actions of those who don’t show me respect, or I can demand it with authority. Either way, I’m getting it.
So if I go through all of that for the respect of someone else, why not treat myself in the same manner?
I’m worthy of respect. I respect myself. Beyond measure.
