This is life. And, in life, sh*t happens . . . no getting around that fact. However, whatever my situation or circumstances may be at any given time, that doesn’t define the woman that I am.

So if I’m tearful about something, that doesn’t mean I’m miserable all the time.
When I crack a joke, this doesn’t make me a clown.
I may get angry at something or someone, but I don’t live in that place of anger 24/7.

Those are my circumstances — a weigh station in life meant to be temporary. It’s not who I am. Sometimes, I have to remind myself of that. And I have to make sure others know that as well. I am not defined by my circumstances.
