When was the last time you said, “I can’t do that…,” “Look at that skimpy skirt; I can’t wear that,” or “People my age don’t do things like that,” — because you think you’re ‘too old’?!?
Okay, some women say that, but not you. You aren’t governed by what society says you should do or be in midlife. You embrace your age and feel that the only restrictions are those you place on yourself. So you don’t.
Instead, you do.
You take that self-defense class.
You get a tattoo.
You start that business you’ve always dreamed of because, well, you want to.
You find love again.
You go back to school because it’s never too late to learn.
You start over.
You try to turn a cartwheel. (If you’re like me, you fail, but at least you tried!)
You wear WTF you want.
You’re too old? Don’t believe that shit.
Judy Freedman says
Okay, I’m going for it. Lately since I turned 60 I’m starting to feel old, but I’m going to try to change my tune.
Valerie Albarda says
Bravo, Judy! Make a change that you will benefit from. If you find that, after going for the gold, you’re not happy with whatever it is you’ve tried, no harm no foul! Good luck.
