For as much as we may want them to, many men are clueless when it comes to menopause. How can we expect them to understand us if they’re in the dark? It’s time to clue men in on the wonderful world of menopause. On this episode, I’m chatting with The Menopause Guru, Jeanne Andrus. Jeanne is an author with four books under her belt, including her latest title, “Where Is My Wife and What Have You Done With Her?”
Jeanne is also a Certified Health Coach. She takes a holistic approach to coaching for what she calls Menopause Mastery Coaching.
On The Show . . .
Years ago, Jeanne was a middle aged, divorced woman with a few too many extra pounds and low self-esteem. Then, she had a midlife awakening. Jeanne took back control of her life, shed 60 pounds and learned all she could about herself, her body and menopause.
Today Jeanne is a Certified Health Coach. She’s passionate about helping women make midlife the best years of their lives, and teaches women how to achieve physical, emotional and mental fitness.
In this episode, Jeanne and I talk about:
- Viewing menopause as a natural stage of life, not a ‘condition’ or a disease.
- What women are getting wrong about menopause.
- What prompted Jeanne to write her book, “Where Is My Wife and What Have You Done With Her?”
- A woman’s changing body, thinking, emotions and libido.
- Why a man should be in it for the long haul with a menopausal mate.

I absolutely agree with Jeanne’s comment that menopause is a natural stage of life, not a ‘condition’. We may not always be comfortable with the symptoms, but it happens for a reason and is part of our natural life cycle. Great topic!

Thanks Candi. Yes, we need to treat menopause more for what it is — a natural part of life progression — and not a condition.
