When a task at hand leaves me in doubt, I sometimes wonder if I’m up to the challenge. Can I get through this? Is this too difficult for me? Am I strong enough to complete this? Can I really do this? And once again, I get in my own way.
That doubt . . . that fear . . . that apprehension — that’s one the best ways for us to hold ourselves back from moving forward, from doing anything, from succeeding.
Instead of thinking that failure is inevitable, I have to tell myself I got this; I can handle this; I can, and I will, do this.
