MIDLIFE MANTRA: I’m Choosing to be Happy

There are so may things I can do today. I can decide on a cappuccino over a cup of hot tea. I might want to take the bus to work instead of drive. I may take my dog for a walk in the park instead of around the neighborhood.

So many choices for today. That’s powerful. I have the choice.

So today, instead of being pessimistic, instead of moaning that it’s Monday, instead of being that person who’s negative attitude brings everyone down . . . I’m choosing the thing that doesn’t cost me anything, and takes almost no effort: I’m choosing to be happy.
