I’m making changes in my life. No longer am I blaming others for my shortcomings or failure. Society will not be my scapegoat for the sake of passing the buck. That buck stops with me. I own up to the woman that I am and the actions I take.
It’s onward and upward.
The steps I take will further define the woman that I am. The direction in which I move is a calculated journey along a path to future success. No one can do this for me. No one can walk in my shoes. They’re my steps to take, and the next step will be my best step.
Beth Havey says
That’s a great mantra to have. I am constantly working toward a goal which has lots of steps. Sometimes I
fall back and sometimes I move forward. I hope I never give up.
Valerie Albarda says
We all have missteps; but when we vow to keep moving forward, those missteps are just steps on our journey! Thanks for kicking off the conversation, Beth.
Dr. Margaret Rutherford says
So simple and yet so elegant. I watch many who feel as if they need to know exactly where their steps are taking them. But that is impossible. You can only know where you’ve been. Thank you for this Valerie!
