I give and I take. It’s the natural balance of life. However, life is also about making the world around us a better place — not only for ourselves and our interests, but for our children and their future, as well.
I want to be able to contribute to and make a difference in this life. Sometimes, I’m gung-ho about it and set about changing the world, but alas life gets in the way. But still, I persist.
I have to remind myself that it’s not always about me. Today, I want to make a difference . . . in the life of someone else. It could be something small: offering a smile to someone who seems lonely, buying a meal for a homeless person, or giving of my time to teach someone a new skill. It doesn’t have to be a grand gesture to me, but it could be grand to the person on the receiving end.
Today I will make a difference.

I love that making a difference can be in the small things – like smiling and offering a kindness – the more small things, the greater the difference.

That’s right, Leanne. Making a difference doesn’t have to be a huge, grand gesture. Many times, it’s the little things that count. Thanks for kicking off the conversation!

Me as well, Jae. I don’t give it conscious thought every day, but I really should. Thanks for joining the conversation!
