Sometimes just the act of waking up in the morning is reason enough to celebrate.
When you make a vow to live a life full of optimism, you look forward to every day. Every. Day. So in the morning when you slowly come out of the trance-like REM sleep, roll around on your 400 thread count sheets, rub your eyes like a child, and stretch and possibly yawn, you’re entering a new day.
And guess what: It’s an opportunity to do new things, to reinvent yourself, to live! So uh, yeah, you’re grateful. You’re looking UP, not six feet under.
Just like Antionette Blake, the #delblogger, use this mantra as the starting point for your day . . . and make it a great day!
Thank you for including me in the series, I am always happy when I open my eyes in the morning as I think of those who didn’t!
Oh dear, thank YOU. You were the first to participate in the series with your input and I’m grateful for you.
as someone who almost died I think of this every day…..it is a blessing to wake up. It is!
Oh yes, Donna, I’m sure it’s a true blessing to you after what you’ve been through.
I’m grateful, every day, that I’m still here! So many reasons why I shouldn’t be that I’ve begun writing a book about all of them. Thanks for this post, Brenda
Thank you, Brenda, for joining the conversation. I need to be more mindful of the fact that simply being alive is cause for celebration!
