This episode is my goodbye to you, the Midlife-A-Go-Go the podcast audience. The podcast is going on an indefinite hiatus. But please don’t let that stop you from continuing to experience the wonderful bounty of episodes that focus on midlife women.
Over the past three years, I’ve recorded 76 episodes. That’s a true accomplishment for me. Now, it’s time for me to hang up my microphone – for now – and focus on other pursuits in my life. It’s been a wonderful ride and I would never have made it this far without a loyal audience who listened, commented, engaged and recommended the show to others.
Ask me what my favorite episode is and I’ll fall silent. There are so many great guests that I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with, so many gripping topics, so many fond memories made – it’s impossible for me to choose just one, or two, or five. But if I had to narrow it down, here’s my bakers dozen in no particular order:
- Women and Multiple Sclerosis: Listening to our Bodies and Advocating for Ourselves with Cathy Chester
- Aging, Sex and the Midlife Woman with Walker Thornton
- The Right Way to Fitness with Nicole Sanders and Rene Syler
- Stepping Into Your Boldness with Kim Boudreau Smith
- Adoption, Awareness and Advocacy: How One Woman’s Journey to Motherhood Started a Movement with Carla Carlisle
- The Big Pivot: How Midlife Women Can Be More and Do More Over 50 with Denice Torres
- Silver Sister – Women Embracing Their Brilliant Shades of Gray pt. 2
- Erasing the Stigma: Let’s Talk About Menopause with Rachel Lankester
- Living With Intention with Chakra Wanda
- How Ya Coping? Midlife Women and the Importance of Coping with Stacy Kaiser
- Real Talk: Menopause and Our Vaginas with Dr. Lauren Streicher
- Midlife, Cancer, Infidelity and Surviving It All with CJ Grace
- Midlife Women Thriving and Surviving the Empty Nest with Coach Christine
And there are so many more episodes for you to enjoy. Every episode is special to me – from the first episode to the very last. I hope you’ll take some time to relax and listen.
Saying goodbye is difficult. As I say my goodbyes, I was hesitant to take this step because it meant not doing something that I enjoyed, but I also knew that my life priorities are important. I want to leave you with a few quotes that have nudged me in the right direction and lifted my spirit as I move into this new season in my life.
And my absolute favorite . . .
Goodbye.
