There was a time in your life when you were unsure . . . unsure about who you were, unsure about the world around you, unsure about your career, unsure about the “what next” in your life . . . just generally unsure about yourself.
That was then; this is now.
Your ‘what next’ is where you are in life right now . . . right at this very minute. Decisions, decisions. What’s a woman to do? I’m not sure about everyone else, but you went for it. You took a chance, you stepped out of your comfort zone, and you’re doing what you want — whatever that may look like. You’re doing what makes you happy.
When is it your time? It may not have been yesterday, or last week, or last year, or even ten years ago. But you’re a midlife woman now. Remember that saying: “No time like the present, a thousand unforeseen circumstances may interrupt you at a future time.”
Your time is now.
Rebecca Forstadt Olkowski says
The only person who can change your life is the person you see in the mirror. And, there’s no better time than now.
Valerie Albarda says
Exactly, Rebecca…you get it! Thanks for piping in.

I love this. I think one of the greatest things about aging is that we either do, or don’t do, our “what’s-nexts”, and we come to a place in life where our choices are more focused and based on what pleases us (vs. the stuff we do in life that’s tied to a clock… mairrage, babies, etc).
Valerie Albarda says
That’s right, Emily. We make the choices, and we should do so without the guilt.
Rena says
I’m ready to step out of my comfort zone. Just don’t know what the first step will be.
Valerie Albarda says
Bravo, Rena! Think about the things you like to do or, better yet, the things you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t. Be adventurous, be unexpected, be non-conventional! Go for it!
