You’re calling “time out!” No more putting everyone else before yourself.
You used to suffer from that dreaded disease, “Peoplepleaseritis.” Such a lopsided ailment. You give and give and give some more, never really taking yourself into account. You didn’t want to disappoint anyone. You didn’t want to let anyone down. You sacrificed your wants and needs. And for what? To please someone else.
Not anymore. No ma’am, not you.
You’ve set your boundaries.
You’ve stopped putting everyone else’s happiness above yours.
You don’t give a good hot damn if people get upset because pleasing them isn’t on your agenda.
You’ve stopped seeking validation from everyone else.
You’ve established your priorities . . . your priorities.
You’ve made some tough choices, but you now know who you want to please and why.
You make sure to please yourself first. There is absolutely nothing wrong with putting yourself first.
You’re no longer a people pleaser . . . and it feels wonderful!
